The seventh episode in the series. Now we backtrack to the northern part of the music box to two levels we have already done so we can get more treasures. Here is when you first utilize your ground pound move. Use it on the frog and go down the pipe. Use it again to break more blocks below. You’ll have to play a golf mini-game for the first time (and definitely not the last). It costs 10 coins at first (which is why you need coins in this game), but later on in the game, it will cost 30 coins and then 50 coins. Here is how you play:

The object is to body slam the Para-Goom into the hole in par or better. The meter below is used to determine how far your shot will be.

How to hit it:

First, hold Right to make the screen scroll. You will see an outline of the Para-Goom. This is the farthest it will land before it bounces. You can control how it will bounce, which will be brought up later.

Now that you see how far it will go, you have to decide how far to hit it accordingly. Depending on the situation, you will want to hit it as far as possible, or not too far if you are trying to avoid a sand bunker, water hazard, etc.

Now that you know how far you want to hit it, first press A to move the icon. It will move fast. Press A for a second time when the icon lands to determine the distance of your shot. The farther it is to the right, the farther the Para-Goom will go.

Next, you will have to press A for a third time. This part is crucial. You must get it in between (or on, as long as it’s not outside) the blue bars on the left of the meter. If you get it outside this range, Wario will trip and you will not hit it. It will cost you a stroke. If you get it in between the blue bars (in the red area), the Para-Goom will bounce slightly forward. If you get it in the left blue bar, it will bounce slightly backward. If you get it in the right blue bar, it will bounce forward farther than it would if you pressed A in the red zone. Plan this accordingly; each has its own advantage. Oh yeah, it will not bounce if it lands in the rough or sand. Keep that in mind.

Also, avoid water and lava hazards. Both are considered out of bounds. Water is not as bad as lava. Water only costs you one stroke, and the Para-Goom will be placed in front of the water. Lava, however, costs you two strokes and places the Para-Goom where you were last. Be careful.

If you get above par, you lose, and you have to try again with another 10 coins. If you get par or better, you win, and get to continue to get the treasure.

Also, the crayon treasure you get is one of eight. Get all eight, and you get to play three golf courses any time. (A fourth one can also be unlocked.)
